Last weekend in Buffalo might have been freezing, but SO worth it to see a good friend get married! I don’t think it stopped snowing the entire time I was there. The weather was a non issue to the Buffalonian couple who are clearly used to it. The bride, my former roomie from Italy study abroad days, draped herself in a gorgeous white fur for the reception and her bridesmaids wore matching grey furs. Everyone pulled off the timeless chic look effortlessly.
I on the other hand had no idea what I was going to wear. I had little to no time to prepare which meant I had to pull something together from my closet. I have been loving the layered look lately and took my inspiration from the always stylish Danielle Bernstien of We Wore What‘s day two outfit from NYFW.
I paired a silk Ann Taylor blouse with a last season H&M jumpsuit. The gold belt from StyleWe pulled it together along with Michael Kors pumps and You and Me boutique jacket earnings. I really love this outfit, but love more that it was pulled together from what I already had!
This was my first Art Basel experience and it did not disappoint. The two day All Day I Dream event is what initially brought my attention to the Art based festival. However, music has become an important element of the Art Basel experience and All Day I Dream brought their own artistic musical expression to the gathering.
Lee Burridge and company descended upon a secret island location AKA Virginia Key Beach Park where they painted pure magic with their music. Music that takes you on a journey to unknown lands. At these events all you must do is close your eyes and be transported to otherworldly places. Open them and fall under the spell of the community of beautiful, passionate, like minded creative hearts who smile without care until the sun dissolves into the night.
